OperationsPipelines

Our product pipelines (approx. 1,500 miles in all) transport light refined products from HollyFrontier's Navajo Refinery and Alon USA's Big Spring Refinery, as well as from third parties to customers in the metropolitan and rural areas of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and northern Mexico. The products transported in these pipelines include conventional gasoline; federal, state, and local specification reformulated gasoline; low-octane gasoline for oxygenate blending; distillates that include low and ultra-low diesel and jet fuel.

We own the Navajo Refinery crude oil delivery system, which consists of approximately 900 miles of crude oil trunk lines delivering crude to the Navajo refining facility in Southeast New Mexico from crude gathered locally in the Permian basin, gathered in West Texas, and crude delivered via pipeline from Cushing, Oklahoma. The Permian Basin crude gathering system is comprised of approximately 900 miles of gathering and connection pipelines located in West Texas and New Mexico.

We also own pipelines which deliver crude into, and refined products out of the HollyFrontier Woods Cross Refinery in Utah.

Regularly inspected and well maintained, our pipelines are in good repair. The FERC regulates the transportation tariffs for interstate shipments, and state regulatory agencies regulate the tariffs for intrastate shipments.

HollyFrontier accounted for 80% of the revenues of our petroleum product and crude pipelines and 83% of the revenues of our terminals and truck loading racks in 2010.
